The £25 million investment in the new ‘Graduate Centre’ designed by architects Wilkinson Eyre includes a home for the School of Economics and Finance adjacent to the art deco Great Hall at the western side of the Mile End campus, alongside dedicated space for QMUL's Graduate Centre. Facilities within the building include a 200 seat glass sided lecture space, a dedicated foyer with café and a range of seminar / breakout spaces on other floors. The building will also feature an iconic open plan reception space in a ‘floating’ glass box with outdoor terrace on the roof of the building, which will be perfect for drinks receptions and networking events.

Commenting on the new facility, Simon Barlow, Marketing and Communications Executive for Events & Hospitality QM notes ‘This is a fantastic development in the heart of the QMUL Mile End campus, it brings additional academic facilities to underpin QMUL's academic aspirations, while also presenting contemporary space with innovative use of light and glass for use by those seeking new and unusual event spaces in this vibrant part of London'.
