Our latest development at Events & Hospitality QM is the rebranding of our accommodation product to 'Stay QM'. The aim of the rebrand is to simplify the identity to make it short, snappy and straight to the point. We want to ensure that our customers know what we are and what we do as soon as they first make contact with us, whether that be via our website, social media or by word of mouth.
Saran Deb is our Client Experience Coordinator here at Events & Hospitality QM. Here she talks in more detail about the reasons behind our decision to reinvent the brand identity for our accommodation:
CREATING A CLEAN ‘SHOP WINDOW’
When searching for a place to stay in London, whether for one night or 3 months, the choice can sometimes be overwhelming and confusing! This is why we decided to re-design our website under the new Stay QM brand to help make the buying decision process for potential guests much easier.
We believe in high levels of customer service at Stay QM and we want to ensure that we provide an engaging yet simplistic journey from the moment a potential customer clicks onto our website, right through to when they check-out after their stay. We have made the following enhancements to our online presence to help support this ethos:
- A more image led website, reducing the amount of text. By using visuals it makes our offer more transparent, allowing customers to see our product straight away without having to trawl through our site to find photos.
- The creation of a ‘Book Now’ button, which is available on every page to make our online booking facility more visible. This enables customers to make a booking at any point throughout their online journey.
- A streamlined, simplified structure allowing customers to access the information they require with as few clicks as possible.
- Mobile compatibility making the website accessible (responsive) and user friendly on any platform or device without compromising the user experience.
TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE REGENERATION OF THE LOCAL AREA
Located in Mile End in London’s East End, we have witnessed huge regeneration of an area that was once the ‘back and beyond’ part of the city, to a more vibrant and exciting part of town since the Olympics back in 2012. When creating the Stay QM brand we have kept this in mind, our aim is to use this regeneration as inspiration to align ourselves with the vibrancy of the area and create a brand to be noticed.
Huge investment into transport links has helped put east London on the map giving us the advantage of no longer having to explain or justify our location. Looking ahead to January 2016, Stratford station (just 1 stop from Stay QM) will move from zone 3 to zone 2, and in 2018 the Crossrail project will be complete meaning that it will be possible to travel from London Heathrow to Stay QM in approximately 50 minutes!
